The producer of the Escrivão Homestead comes from a family with over 90 years of agricultural activity and the Escrivão Homestead was a property that belonged to the king's registrar (=Escrivão). The vineyard has been certified in Organic Agriculture for 20 years and has been certified in Biodynamic Agriculture by Demeter since 2019. It has an area of 4.5ha, in sandy schist soils. It has no history of diseases and has a good exposure to the south. It is flat with a drop by drop system installed. We have environmental concerns promoting biodiversity, and also social concerns with our employees. We promote gastronomy with quality products. We view the entire property as a living unit and create synergies to try to be energy self-sufficient. The property has a total of 80 hectares, and in addition to wine, we also produce vegetables, cereals and pasture.
